Terms of Use

Last updated: 22 July 2026

These terms cover your use of Medly. By creating an account, you're agreeing to them. Read them alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and how we use it.

What Medly is

Medly helps parents and caregivers keep track of a child's care between visits — visit summaries, next-step tasks, documents, and reminders. It's a coordination tool, not a medical service.

Not medical advice

Medly does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and nothing in the app should be read as a substitute for professional care. Suggested tasks — including any generated from an uploaded document — are drafts for you to review, not clinical recommendations, and only become part of your child's timeline once you approve them. For health concerns, contact Healthline (0800 611 116) or your doctor. In an emergency, call 111.

Your account and your information

  • You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for the accuracy of what you enter about your child.
  • A child does not create their own account or give their own consent — as the caregiver, you decide what's recorded and what's shared.
  • You can correct, export by request, or delete your information at any time, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

Use Medly only for coordinating care for children you're responsible for. Don't use it to store or share information about someone else's child without authorisation, attempt to disrupt the service, or access another caregiver's account or data.

Service availability

We aim to keep Medly available and reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access — reminders, AI-suggested tasks, and other features depend on third-party services (see the Privacy Policy for who we work with) that are outside our control. Don't rely on Medly as your only record of time-sensitive care information.

Limitation of liability

Medly is provided as a coordination and reminder tool, used at your discretion. To the extent permitted by New Zealand law, Medly Limited isn't liable for missed appointments, care decisions, or outcomes arising from your use of the app — the responsibility for your child's care sits with you and your healthcare providers.

Changes to these terms

If we make a material change to these terms, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Continuing to use Medly after a change means you accept the updated terms.
